   Purchasing an exhibit or collection of exhibits from this website entitles you to use the exhibit(s) in one case.  You may use them repeatedly in that one case (say, in the demand letter, two depositions, a settlement conference, and in trial), but may not re-use them in a second matter.  You may not print our exhibits in publications, or distribute or re-sell them in any way.

   We cannot afford to charge so little for these exhibits if they are used for multiple cases, or worse, shared with others. Please respect our single-case restriction so that we can afford to keep our prices less than half of the going rate. If you want to use our exhibits in a different fashion, please call 800-440-4780 or e-mail Robin Mechem to purchase a different license.  Thank you for respecting our labor and our copyrights.

   Below are the permitted and prohibited uses for the illustrations for sale on this website under the standard license agreement and the extended license agreement.

Standard License Agreement – Permitted Uses

   The standard license agreement allows for the following uses:

1. Images may be printed for promotional materials, packaging, etc., up to 100,000 times.

2. Images may be used on websites and in electronic presentations (such as PowerPoint).

3. Images may be used and a backup copy stored only by the purchaser. Images may be transferred to clients and/or printers for the purposes of printing.

4. Images are intended to be used for one project (such as one brochure, one PowerPoint presentation, or one website).

Extended License Agreement – Permitted Uses  

   An extended license can be purchased for $5.99 per individual illustration or $10.99 per collection. With purchase of an extended license:

1. No restrictions on print quantity. (Standard license only allows for 100,000 reproductions.)

2. Images may be used by anyone within your company or organization as long as the usage falls under the standard license agreement or a purchased extended license agreement. (Standard license only allows the purchaser to use the image and store one backup copy.)

3. Images may be used for more than one project within the same company or organization. (Standard license only allows for an image to be used for one project.)

Prohibited Uses

   Neither the standard license agreement nor the extended license agreement permit the following:

1. Images may not be printed on any materials (such as posters, t-shirts, templates, etc.) intended for resale, license or other distribution for profit.

2. Images may not be sub-licensed, re-sold, rented, gifted, or distributed other than specified under permitted uses.
