DESCRIPTION:
This illustration depicts the general anatomy of the testicle,
the spermatic cord, and the epididymis. The tubule of the
epididymis is slightly dissected and elongated to show its
continuity with the vas deferens into which the sperm flow from
the epididymis. The efferent tubules are clearly seen; they are
ligated and divided if the epididymis must be removed
(epididectomy).
