DETAIL:

DESCRIPTION:
Anterior view of some of the rotator cuff muscles. Most of the
anterior part of the cuff is formed by the large subscapularis
muscle which arises on the front of the scapula and inserts on
the humerus. Some surgical procedures require the hook-like
coracoid process, with its three attached muscles (the short
head of the biceps, the pectoralis minor, and the
coracobrachialis), to be reflected as well. Access to the
interior of the joint is gained by cutting through the tendon of
the subscapularis muscle and the fibrous capsule of the joint.
