DESCRIPTION:
Lateral view of the shoulder joint. Note the cut ends of the
tendons, which collectively form the “rotator cuff.” The
shoulder joint is most often surgically approached from the
front. The incision begins over the acromioclavicular joint (the
point of the shoulder) and arcs downward toward the groove
between the deltoid and the pectoralis major muscle.
