DETAIL:

|
DESCRIPTION:
The lymphatic system. The thin vessels of this system drain
fluid found between the cells throughout the body. The lymph
nodes contain cells that attack foreign particles. This accounts
for the spread of cancer (metastasis) through the lymphatic
vessels. The chief sites of lymphocyte formation in the fetus
are in the yolk sac, the liver, and the spleen.
