DETAIL:

DESCRIPTION:
Long flexor and intrinsic muscles of the palm. The thumb and the
little fingers have muscles that pull them toward each other (a
movement called apposition) so that the pads of the fingers
touch. Other small muscles flex the knuckle
(metacarpophalangeal) joint. One set of interosseous muscles
spreads the fingers apart; the other brings them back together.
See also muscles of the dorsum (back) of
the hand.
