DESCRIPTION:
Medial view of the hinge joint at the elbow. The head of the
radius is also shown with the strong annular ligament securing
it to the ulna. The rounded end of the humerus is called the
capitulum; it articulates with the radius, the forearm bone on
the thumb side. When the radius spins back and forth, the
forearm and hand pronate and supinate.
