DESCRIPTION:
The permanent teeth and the jaws. There are 32 permanent teeth
in the upper and lower dental arcades. From anterior to
posterior on each half of the jaw the teeth are as follows: two
incisors, one canine, two premolars (bicuspids), and three
molars. There are only 20 deciduous (baby) teeth. Teeth fall out
and erupt on a relatively predictable schedule in children.
